Preventing Homelessness

Representative Payee ProgramRepresentative Payee Program

The Open Door Ministry works to prevent homelessness by offering financial management. In collaboration with the Social Security Department and area social service agencies, Open Door operates a Representative Payee Program, which helps clients manage their limited funds, making sure to pay housing and other living costs. This ministry is critical for many clients, who may otherwise struggle with managing their finances and could ultimately lose their housing and end up homeless.

The Payee Program accepts clients who have a case manager who will provide home visits with the client on other issues in their life that are not financial. The case manager refers clients to the program.
We are open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon for walk-ins and from 1 to 3 p.m. by appointment.
